Dazzling Bonfire Night Desserts for You to Indulge In

Halloween is always a joyous time of year, and the lead into November means there are plenty of upcoming events that can involve your bespoke outdoor grill! Not that we ever really need an excuse to get things fired up, but it really does seem appropriate to have a barbecue feast in honour of Bonfire Night! Normally, we would share a seasonal selection of savoury dishes, but this year we are in a particular mood for dessert. For those of us with a sweet tooth, rejoice, and try out these tasty treats on your bespoke outdoor grill!

Grilled Popcorn

Like many things you may not expect, you can actually make great popcorn using a grill! This proves to be a really novel way of preparing the snack, and will certainly be fun for all the family – or at least satisfy the desire to hear something go bang until you’re ready to set off your fireworks!

Flavour however you want, but toffee is especially delicious and seasonal.

Parkin Cake

Parkin cake is a lesser known but nevertheless traditional treat to indulge in on Bonfire Night! Like all cakes, you can easily bake this by using your Aemyrie wood fired oven, but you may want to prepare it in advance, as Parkin actually matures and continues to get softer and sticker for 3-5 days after baking.

This may be an American dessert, but that doesn’t mean we can’t join in the fun too! Traditionally enjoyed around campfires, Bonfire Night is the perfect time to give them a go, and with melted marshmallow and chocolate what’s not to love?

Toasting marshmallows around a bonfire has a certain rustic charm but if you’re looking for a safer and more controllable option, you can achieve the same results with your bespoke outdoor grill.
